From Krakow to the Holy Land, to commemorate the Blessed John Paul II

600 Polish pilgrims from Krakow are in the Holy Land these days, accompanied by their archbishop, Cardinal Stanislaw Dziwisz, former personal secretary of John Paul II.

The pilgrimage was planned and organized to celebrate the first anniversary of the beatification of the "great Pope."

The large pilgrimage, which includes two bishops and 50 priests, will cover the usual itinerary (from Bethlehem to Jerusalem, from the Jordan River to Galilee) and will celebrate Mass in the most important holy sites. In particular, in Tabgha, at the Franciscan Sanctuary of the Primacy of Peter, on Sunday, April 22 at 11 am, the solemn closing celebration will take place, presided over by Cardinal Dziwisz, during which some relics of John Paul II will be donated to the Holy Land.
