Magic Lamp

A concert of Arabic songs for children and performed by children, all unpublished. The Magic Lamp is the concluding event of a project promoted by the Magnificat Institute, the music school of the Custody of the Holy Land, created and directed by Fr. Armando Pierucci. The event was hosted in the auditorium of Saint Savior’s Convent on Saturday, March 24. Twelve songs on themes dear to the little ones, without forgetting Mother's Day which is celebrated at the arrival of Spring in the Middle East, to which were dedicated two of the songs, all by Arab authors and musicians. They were performed by the small chorus of the "Yasmeen Buds Choir" - the "youngest" among the choirs of the Magnificat - directed by Mirjam Younan and accompanied on the piano by Hani Kreitem and the " Spring Magnificat Orchestra" conducted by Robert Canetti and Bella Pogosov Canetti.

The development of this event was supported by ATS Pro Terra Sancta, AVSI and the Italian Development Cooperation, as part of a larger project to support the educational needs in the Palestinian territories.
