Transmission through Time
A tiny piece of silver dating to the seventh century before Christ bears the priestly blessing of the Book of Numbers. Found in Jerusalem, it is believed to be the most ancient part of the Bible that was preserved in writing. The sacred texts were transmitted over the centuries through manuscripts and codices, up to the 1454 Gutenberg Bible, the first printed edition.
