THIS WEEK ON TV: This week’s edition of Terra Santa News opens with images of the captivating celebration of the Eucharist and that was held on Saturday at Capernaum, with the participation of the Custody of the Holy Land and laity from all over the country: a significant event that took place almost at the same time as the eve of World Mission Day. Two other important events for the universal Church took place in recent weeks that have been experienced with particular intensity in the Holy Land: the Bishops’ Synod on the Family, for which we will show you interviews with the Latin Patriarch of Jerusalem and the Patriarch of Antioch for the Melkites and the beatification of Pope Paul VI, an important figure, who has done much for the Christians in Jesus. Then, in our news broadcast for this week, you will see a report on the mass of blessing for a new chapel on Mount Zion in Jerusalem: there, pilgrims will be able to celebrate mass in the Franciscan monastery of the Cenacle, a few steps from the Upper Room. A structure for Palestinian children who are ill was inaugurated within the Caritas Baby Hospital in Bethlehem: a play room, with fun but also educational activities. We close this edition with the Feast of Sukkot in Jerusalem, a Jewish celebration, that could have some parallels with Christian liturgical tradition.
